Winter wonderland

10 February 2016

Two years before the wedding, we booked the venue and the dream towards their winter wonderland wedding started.

Laetitia and Patrick invited more than 40 guests to their wedding in Norway, and for most of them, this was their first trip here. This winter has been special in Norway, due to the lack of snow. But then 3 weeks before the wedding, the snow finally came, and covered the ground with a magic white layer.

On the wedding day, the sun was shining, and the temperature was good. All the guests were picked up from their hotel downtown Oslo, and taken to the beautiful church in Holmenkollen. Eli, the priest, held a personal wedding in the church, and the couples “I do’s” were saluted with applause.

Although in Norway, we followed the French tradition, with both a civil and a church wedding – so at the venue we had a wonderful civil ceremony outdoors, before the bride and groom started the celebration with their guests. The bride and groom arrived by horse and carriage, and after the ceremony they walked down the aisle surrounded by sparklers. It was just magic!

After a wonderful 4 course dinner, they danced through the night - before they the next day went back to France, with a promise to return to Norway next winter!

We miss them already, and look forward to seeing them in Norway again!
